We Are Beings, Not Burdens

Before the pandemic, a friend asked me to do her a favor. Her 90 year old mother was in the hospital and had asked if I might be willing to stop by and pay her a visit. These are not Plymouth Church folk but some of my community theater friends. According to my friend, her mom was in need of some spiritual guidance. I was not entirely aware of the reason for the woman’s hospitalization, but given her age, 90, I assumed it was not good. I did stop in and we had a lovely visit.
