Regard For Others: A Virtue to Behold

The 19th century philosopher and poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson, once wrote, “A great man is always willing to be little.” But when Emerson wrote these words, I don’t think he meant that a great person is always to belittle themselves, but rather great people are willing to hold others above themselves, or as the Apostle Paul put it, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.”
