On Feeling at Home in Worship

On Feeling at Home in Worship

Scripture Reading: The Joy of Worship in the Temple

Once there was a world-famous guru master and teacher whose popularity was growing so fast that his assistants had to work hard to contain his followers. His followers desired nothing more than to spend a few moments in his presence. Well, the Guru had an inner circle of devotees. The Guru’s closest circle of devotees remained the nearest physically to their teacher and hung upon his every word. Still, there were others who could only gather as close as the porch of his home. Then there was the remaining group of followers who would often travel very far just to gather on the road outside his home and be that close to him. All of them were eager to hear what daily wisdom this great teacher would offer. After years of teaching and sharing wisdom, the great sage became ill and he was lying on his deathbed with only hours to live. All the people that followed him were anxious and awaited what would be the final word of wisdom that he would ever share.
