Plymouth has started a new Women’s Fellowship group called God’s Gals. Our first get together was May 7 when we discussed ideas of what we’d like this group to be. We had 23 women attend this meeting and this is what we came up with…
The purpose of this group will be an opportunity to socialize with other women, sometimes at a fun event, sometimes doing acts of service. But we realize that whenever we are with a group of other women, we always have the opportunity to learn from each other. Jackie Kastengren and Marlene Peacock will act as coordinators for the group.
We will meet once a month to begin with. If we have a specific event that we are planning, the day and time will be flexible. If we don’t have a specific event, we will meet after church on a Sunday. Our June event will be to go to Libertyville, Illinois on Saturday, June 17 and volunteer at the “Feed My Starving Children” project from 9am-11am and have lunch together after. Other ideas of group activities included: progressive dinner, sewing projects, yoga class, TLC golf outing, attend Fireside production of “Church Basement Ladies”, book review/exchange, grounds clean-up…and more!
If you have not already indicated your interest in this group, please let Beth know in the church office and she will put you on the contact list so you are aware of upcoming events.
